Incident

Climbing the top pitch of a new route, a handhold broke off half way through a move causing me to fall. Gear is sparse so I decked out from about 7 metres landing on my arms and knees. A low cam prevented skidding of a terrace. The route had been extensively cleaned beforehand but rock is very loose.

Lessons

Clearly needs further cleaning and perhaps more levering out of loose blocks. When I go back to the route, will reach up with right not left hand.
